Denver Harbor Cares, Inc. (“Denver Harbor Cares,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. Donations

If you make a donation, payment information is processed through PayPal. We do not store your full payment card details. Donor names may be publicly recognized only if agreed to as part of a donation arrangement; otherwise, donations are kept private.

Volunteers and Contractors

For volunteers and contractors, we may collect additional information through offline paperwork, including confidentiality agreements, liability releases, tax forms (such as W-9s), and other information required for compliance and administration. This information is not collected through our website.

2. Information from Public Sources and Sensitive Data Use

We do not collect sensitive demographic or voting history information directly from individuals. However, for civic engagement purposes, we may match records using publicly available sources, such as voter registration records. These matches may include:

  • Voter registration status

  • Voting history (as available in public records)

  • Age

  • Full voter registration address

We may also ask individuals directly about their likelihood or tendency to vote as part of voter education and outreach efforts.

Use Limitations:
Information obtained from public sources or voter files is used solely for nonprofit civic engagement, voter education, research, and community organizing purposes. Access to this information is limited to authorized staff and partners as necessary to carry out our mission.

We do not sell sensitive personal data and do not use this information for commercial purposes.

3. Website, Cookies, and Technology Information

Our website (www.denverharborcares.org) is hosted on Wix, which provides aggregated analytics about website usage and engagement.   • Service Providers: We use third-party platforms to support our operations, including Qomon, Scale to Win, HubSpot, PayPal, and Wix. These providers process information on our behalf and are expected to maintain appropriate security and confidentiality standards.

  • Aggregated Insights: We may share non-identifiable, aggregated trends or learnings (such as community insights), but not personally identifiable information.

7. Data Storage and Security

Data is stored primarily in Qomon and other secure vendor platforms. We work with vendors that implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information. Access to data is limited to authorized individuals as necessary to carry out our work.

8. Photos and Media

We may take photographs or videos at public events, community activities, or organized programs for communications, documentation, and outreach purposes. These images may be used in print or digital materials, including our website and social media.

If you have concerns about appearing in photos or videos or would like an image removed, you may contact us at general@denverharborcares.org, and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request.

9. Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

Although Denver Harbor Cares is a nonprofit organization, we respect the privacy rights of Texas residents.
